3G TeamWork

3G TeamWork is a contractor directory for River Forest, Oak Park, Forest Park and the near west suburbs. It gives the local contractor search a named home within the Three Green family. The project's focus is the directory itself: businesses can be listed, and visitors can explore contractors in the area it serves.

Its connection to place is specific, rather than an invitation to invent a wider service area.

The open directory lets any contractor add a business for free. The listing posts live right away, so joining that open directory does not mean waiting for the listing to appear. There is a Join form for that purpose.

These are the facts of the open listing option: contractors can add a business, the listing is free, and it goes live immediately. That openness is an important part of how the directory is described.

A separate Kelty vetted list is available as well. The distinction is worth keeping clear. The open directory and the Kelty vetted list are not the same thing, and an open listing should not be presented as if it automatically carries Kelty vetting.

Both sit within the 3G TeamWork destination, but they offer different ways to explore the contractor information available there.

3G TeamWork has a partnership with Three Green. That relationship places the directory within the family while leaving its local purpose intact. Its parent-site line, ‘Contractors we'd send our neighbors to,’ fits the neighborhood focus, but the open-directory rules still matter when readers visit.

Anyone looking to add a contractor business can use the Join form; anyone browsing can distinguish the open directory from the separate Kelty vetted list. The magazine brings those facts together so the project can be understood before a visitor opens it.
